Happy retirement Brendan

Well done to all the boys and girls for putting on a wonderful show for our lovely caretaker, Brendan. He was so impressed by your beautiful singing. He will enjoy his retirement now, knowing how many friends he has in SS Peter and Paul JNS.

Summer holidays

Sports day

Team USA had the best sports day ever. We raced, we skipped, we played basketball, we hoola hooped, and we had a lovely ice pop to cool us down after all the fun activities.

Kites

We made beautiful and colourful kites.

Bumbleance

The bumbleance came to school today. It was the coolest ambulance we have ever seen, designed especially for sick children. It had everything, a PlayStation, DVD player, disco lights and even a goody bag. 

Aistear in June

With the summer holidays on the horizon, we took a visit to the travel agents this month for Aistear. We had lovely brochures to flick through and flight tickets to make. We made a runway for the airport, we weighed bags, we designed our passports and we made a hot air balloon. 

Summer blooms

Our lovely daffodils bring some sunshine to our classroom.

Tick tock

We learned all about telling the time in maths classes so we made cool clocks to help us.

Butterfly printing

We made some gorgeous butterflies by printing the patterns from one side of the wing to the other. They look fabulous.

Visit from the dentist

We've been working very hard on having super sparkly teeth over the last few weeks. We got fancy new toothbrushes and lovely envelopes for the tooth fairy. Our favourite dentist Adrienne cake for a chat and we said our tooth cleaning rap for her! She was very impressed.

N-Zone

We had so much fun on our school tour to n-zone! Big thanks to our fabulous helpers. 

Caterpillars

We have new friends in our class this week! We have our very own caterpillars. We are going to watch their metamorphosis into butterflies! Keep checking for updates. 

Our caterpillars have transformed into beautiful butterflies. We released them today and watched them fly off into the sky. They promised to watch over us and let teacher know how we are all doing in first class.

Chicken dance

Today is national dance like a chicken day, so, of course, we all did the chicken dance 🐥

Daily Mile

We're taking part in a school wide challenge called the Daily Mile. We have to wear our runners every day as we all try to run for ten whole minutes. We hope to get faster and fitter with every passing week.

Frogs

We learned all about the life cycle of the frog from teachers cool pop up book and we made super green frogs on their lillypads.

Fun in the sun .

With such amazing sunshine this week, teacher took us to the beach to have a sandcastle competition. We also dug a super deep hole that we think nearly reached Australia 🇦🇺
